SERVICE UPDATE: Google Workspace Storage Limitations (deadline 12-2022)

Google Workspace is no longer provide unlimited storage to education customers. Under the new agreement, the Google Workspace for Education storage for Rice must now be limited for all faculty, staff, students and visitors. Beginning December 2021 Rice OIT will begin notifying individuals who exceed the new quotas and provide assistance to migrate Google Drive items to an alternative service.

OIT will begin to enforce the new quota January 3, 2022 and is requesting all individuals to be within the new quota limits by December 17, 2022.
- If you currently exceed the new quota, you will be contacted directly with additional information.
- If you need assistance with the migration of your data that exceeds the limitation, submit an OIT Request.
