Migrate Data to Box Storage
Instructions are below for migrating data to current OIT supported cloud services.
Using Box in the web browser
- Log in to Rice Box.
- Create a folder
- Drag and drop the selection of files to the desired folder within Box or upload to Box with the File Browser.

Using the Box Drive desktop application
- Download and Install Box Drive
- Once installation is complete, on your computer you'll see a folder called "Box"
- Drag and drop the selection of files to the desired folder within Box or access files from the desktop
- Box Drive for macOS - working with Mac Finder
- Box Drive for Windows - working with Windows Explorer

IMPORTANT: Once your migration is complete, please delete all legacy data from your old U: drive and notify OIT using the Help Request Form. In the "I need to..." drop-down menu, select "report that my U: drive is now empty". Failure to do so could result in your data being overwritten later.
