Laptop Loaner Program
Current Rice faculty, staff and students can borrow a loaner laptop if their primary computer needs repair or is in the process of being repaired. Students may also check out a loaner laptop if they are unable to visit a classroom or lab due to COVID restrictions. The laptop may be checked out for up to a maximum of two weeks. Due to limited supply, check-out is subject to a first-come, first-serve basis.
OIT's Laptop Loaner Program is open to current Rice faculty and staff, as well as any enrolled undergraduate or graduate student. Laptops may be checked out for up to two weeks at a time. The loaner program is designed to provide a temporary productivity computer for Rice faculty, staff and students when their normal productivity computer is unavailable. The loaner program is not intended to fill any long-term departmental computer resource needs.
Undergraduates who need to request a loaner laptop for longer than six weeks in total should submit a request through the Access and Opportunity Portal at https://aop.rice.edu.
