Connect a Mac to "Rice Owls"

How to connect a Mac computer to the Rice Owls wireless network.

Before you connect

1. Follow the instructions at Configuring a Mac Workstation to Connect to the RiceNet3 Wired Network to ensure that your certificate settings are correct.

Configuring Rice Owls

1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon and select Rice Owls.

2. You will be prompted for your NetID and password (Note: your NetID is the combination of your initials and numbers (i.e. ABC123) before the @rice.edu in your email address.) Select Join.

3. The first time you connect to the Rice Owls network on this computer, you will need to accept the certificate for Rice Owls radius.rice.edu and click Continue. Now you're connected to the Rice Owls wireless network.
