Students
Students affiliated with Rice will receive information from the university about activating their NetID. This information packet will include your Student number (Rice ID), which you'll need to have handy to complete the activation steps below.
Employees and Visitors
If you are an employee or visitor, you will receive an email with instructions and an Owl ID once the Office of Information Technology gets enough information about you from Human Resources. If you do not receive an email, please get in touch with Human Resources or the Visitor Management group to check on your data in their system.
