OIT - Using Windows 10 Notifications

OIT will use Windows Notifications to send direct communications to Rice-owned computers managed by OIT. This will include important update reminders and announcements.

IMPORTANT: If you set "Get notifications from apps and other senders" in the Notifications & actions settings, you may miss important security and update notifications from OIT. This includes notifications about the installation of updates and required reboots.

OIT highly recommends to keep notifications turned on for the following: Security and Maintenance, and Software Center.
