Print Credit

Printing charges are sent to the Cashier's Office on the 18th* of each month. Submit credit requests before the 15th* so charges can be removed before they are added to your university bill. *Occasionally dates will be adjusted due to holidays/weekends.

Plotter Job Credit


You can ask for credit for a bad plot if: 

  • you have used the Rice lab machines to send your plot.
  • there are smudges or other obvious plotter ink issues with the plot.
  • the plotter ran out of paper and it did not re-plot your document after the paper change.

Request  for credit must be within 7 days of the event by submitting in person at the Help Desk (Mudd 103, during business hours) or at the Operations Center.

Please bring:

  1. the bad plot job
  2. your header page for your plot job.

The Student Computing Consultant, Help Desk, or Operations Center staff will create a ticket.




Printer Job Credit


You can ask for a refund for a bad printout if:

  • there are smudges or other marks that have ruined the output
  • the printer was out of toner and the printouts were very faint

Request  for credit must be within 7 days of the event by submitting in person at the Help Desk (Mudd 103, during business hours) or at the Operations Center.

  •  the bad print job
  •  the header page for your print job.


The Student Computing Consultant, Help Desk, or Operations Center staff will create a ticket.
