Consulting and Help

To request help, ask a question, or schedule a consultation, you may contact us in several ways.

Office Hours

During the summer of 2026,we will hold office hours over Zoom (not in-person) every Tuesday from 11am - 2pm.  Please see this shared Google Calendar for meeting details and Zoom links; you'll need to sign in with your Rice Google account to access the calendar.

(The CRC is in the process of moving across campus, and using Zoom allows us to be flexible while we move.  We aim to return to in-person office hours in the fall, at a location yet to be determined.)

Please stop by (virtually) to ask any questions you have regarding Rice's Research Computing resources and/or the services offered by the CRC.  We cover topics such as running jobs on our compute clusters, setting up virtual machines on ORION, handling large and/or sensitive datasets, visualizing data, research software, and many others.  See also our services.

You're also welcome to stop by the Research Data & AI Office Hours, offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  There, members of the CRC work with our partners in Fondren Library to help answer questions related to research computing, AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), data management, and digital scholarship.
