Instructions on how to set up Rice email on iPhone

How to set up your email account for Google and Exchange 



  • Go to Settings > Mail, then tap Accounts.
  • Tap Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account - i.e.  Microsoft Exchange, Google, Yahoo, Aol. Use 'Other' for Cyrus.

  • Enter your name, email address, password, and account description.
  • Tap Next. Mail will try to find the email settings and finish your account setup.

  • Effective May 17, 2021, new Rice Google account holders will use their NetID password to login to Google.
  • Prior to May 17, 2021, Individuals with Rice Google accounts will continue to have a separate Google password that differs from their NetID password until they change one of the passwords. Then the passwords will automatically be synchronized. 
  • If individuals prefer to have one less password to remember, they may synchronize them by resetting their password at https://mynetid.rice.edu.
