WhooRU: Changing Display Title
WhooRU, your online account management system, allows you to manage how your title appears across the Rice online directory and various campus services. This article will guide you through the process of updating your display title.
The display title is what appears in the Rice online Directory. WhooRU allows you to select your preferred display title from a predefined drop-down list.
Steps to Change Your Display Title
- Log in to WhooRU: Go to WhooRU.rice.edu and log in using your NetID and password.
- Access Your Profile: Once logged in, click on your initials in the top-right corner of the page.
- Select My Profile: From the drop-down menu, select "My Profile."
- Select Display Title: You will find a drop-down list for your Display Title. Select your desired title from the available options.
- Save Changes: Be sure to save your changes after updating your display title.
Important Considerations
Depending on how you select from the list, your order of selection will be immediately reflected in the title that is displayed.

Propagation Time: Please allow 24-48 hours for your updated display title to synchronize across the Rice online directory and other campus systems.

Impact: Updating your display title in WhooRU will not affect systems that receive your information, such as the Rice Directory, Google, and Active Directory.
