ARCHIVE: Clear the Web Browser Cache: Safari on Mac

Follow these steps to clear browser cache in Safari for Mac operating system. These instructions are for Safari 10.0.1 version or newer.

Step 1: Open Safari.

Step 2: Click on the Safari drop-down menu and select Preferences.

Step 3: Select the Advanced tab. Select the Show Develop menu in menu bar checkbox and close the Preferences window.

Step 4: Select the Develop drop-down menu. Click Empty Caches.

Note: You may want to also clear your browser history. You can do this by selecting History on the menu bar then Clear History... at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
