Subscribe or Update Subscriptions Via Email

To subscribe or update a current subscription to IT status alerts via email, visit https://status.rice.edu and
select => Subscribe To Updates => select the envelope icon => enter your email address => select Subscribe via Email option.

Please note that when you receive alerts, they will come from noreply@statuspage.io.

The next step is to confirm the type of alerts you would like to receive. Options are pictured below. By default, customers will receive notifications for all outages, but the option is also available to pick and choose notifications for specific outages only. These choices can be updated at any time by repeating this subscription process as documented above.

In order to receive alerts, you MUST respond to confirm your subscription by clicking on the email link pictured below.

Unsubscribe from Alerts Via Email

To unsubscribe from IT status alerts via email, locate an alert message in your email and click on the "unsubscribe" at the bottom of the email message.

Subscribe or Update Subscriptions Via SMS

To subscribe or update a current subscription to IT status alerts via SMS, visit https://status.rice.edu and
select => Subscribe To Updates => select the phone icon => enter your phone number => select Subscribe via Text Message option.

The next step is to confirm the type of alerts you would like to receive. Options are pictured below. By default, customers will receive notifications for all outages, but the option is also available to pick and choose notifications for specific outages only. These choices can be updated at any time by repeating this subscription process as documented above. 

Note that after subscribing you will receive a text message to confirm your subscription. In order to receive alerts, you MUST respond to confirm a subscription on your phone or smart device.

Unsubscribe from Alerts Via SMS

To stop receiving IT status alerts via SMS, reply with “STOP" to one of the SMS messages that you have received.

Subscribe Via RSS or Atom Feed

To subscribe to IT status alerts, visit https://status.rice.edu and select => Subscribe To Updates.

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Atom feeds provide the same capability but in a different format. Both RSS and Atom feeds require a Feed Reader or Atom Feed software. In addition, most web browsers are capable of viewing RSS or Atom feeds. Subscribing to the feed will allow you to display status alerts via your Feed Reader or News Aggregator software.

To subscribe to IT status alerts via RSS or Atom Feed select the feed icon => click the link to view an Atom Feed or RSS Feed.
