Proofpoint End User Digest
Proofpoint is an email system enhancement application implemented to protect your Rice University email from spam, virus, malware, and phishing. All incoming email is inspected by the Proofpoint Messaging Security Gateway as soon as it arrives. Messages that contain a virus, spam, or inappropriate content are sent to a Quarantine area. If email messages addressed to you end up in the Quarantine, you will receive a notification, called Digest, in your Inbox. The End User Digest is sent out at 2:00 A.M. daily.
Below is an example of End User Digest
message from Proofpoint.

Use this function if you have multiple messages that you want to Manage - Release, Block Sender, or Safe Sender. [Note to Organization account holders: if you have Organization account(s), we recommend that you log in directly to: proofpoint.rice.edu instead of clicking the Manage My Account. If you've done so, you will need to clear your browser cache for your other account(s).]
