Printer and Plotter Locations & Rates

All current Rice faculty, students and staff with a valid NetID can print to the printers listed below. Print jobs can be sent from personal computers or from OIT-managed computers configured for printing in Mudd Lab, residential colleges and Fondren Library.
OIT charges a printing fee for each page printed to recover the paper, toner, and maintenance costs.  Please note that some printers contain special paper (such as a resume or thesis quality paper).  Students are billed via the Cashier's Office. (Read Cashier's Office's information about your bill). Faculty and staff will be charged to their department billing code.

Duplex Printing Cost

Printing duplex (double-sided) costs the same as a "black and white" letter-size printing page for single-sided prints. Printing duplex does save on paper, but incurs similar wear on the printer.

To print duplex, select Preferences on the printer and choose double-sided.

Note: Some campus organizations (e.g. Jones Graduate Business School, Fondren Library) offer additional printing services. The rates below do not apply to non-OIT managed services. Check other organizations' websites for their service rates.
