The Rice University Online Account Management System is used to manage and activate your NetID Account. Your Rice NetID is a unique login credential for each Rice student, faculty, or staff member. Your NetID is established within 24 hours of your undergraduate student status (early May after all deposits are received), your graduate student department acceptance, or your acceptance of employment.
|Activate your NetID||Activate a new account or re-activate an old account.|

|Change your password||Change your NetID password and your Google Account password.|
|Create Email Aliases||Create an email alias (email sent to an alias will be visible just like email sent to your NetID@rice.edu address).|
|Select your Public Email||Select one of your alias' to publish on Rice public|
|VPN Terms and Conditions||Agreement Use of VPN (Virtual Private Network) Terms and Conditions allows you to download the VPN client.|
|Contact Information||You can change your email and telephone number for password resetting purposes.|

Step 1: Activate your NetID if you have recently been emailed your Rice ID Number. Click on the "Start by activating your NetID" to start your account activation process. IMPORTANT: Be sure to remember your NetID, NetID Password, and Google Account Password. Do not use the same password for your NetID and Google accounts.
