Mount storage drive on a Macintosh

Instructions on mounting a storage on a Mac.

(NOTE: Please make sure to type the direction of the slash "/" correctly when typing the path of the drive)

1. Select Connect to Server from the Go menu: (You can also do this by pressing Apple-K from within Finder)

2. Enter smb://{a-z}-home/netid in the Server Address field, where {a-z} is the first letter of your NetID, and netid is your NetID. For example, if your NetID is abc1, you would enter:


3. Then click Connect:

4. Select "Registered User," enter your NetID and NetID password when prompted and click Connect:

Register account

5. Your storage home folder will open immediately, and the volume named with your NetID will appear under "Devices" in finder.


6. When you are finished with your enterprise storage volume, eject it by dragging the volume to the Trash in your dock or pressing the eject button.
