Operating System Support Lifecycle
The OS support lifecycle below outlines the status across platforms of OS' from deployment to vendor-specified end of life. If your OS is not listed, it is likely out of compliance. Please review the Rice University computer usage policies for more details.
Any computing devices running an unsupported operating system or configured in an insecure manner are subject to restrictions when connecting to the Rice network. Please contact the OIT Help Desk if you need assistance.

Phasing Out |
Rice OIT is actively working to migrate assets away from this platform. Platforms go into this status approximately 6 months before the OIT End of Support Date. Platforms may be placed in this status before that time. |
EOL |
This OS platform is no longer supported by Rice OIT. Software support will be dropped from any asset running this platform. Other levels of support including network connectivity may be dropped as circumstances warrant. A valid reason is required to maintain an asset running this platform past the End of OIT Support date. All exceptions must be logged, approved and periodically reviewed. |
