Connect to the Eduroam Wireless Network
Eduroam is a world-wide access service that allows individuals from member institutions to connect to wireless networks at other member institutions. Your login credentials will be provided to you by Rice University (or your home institution) in order to connect to Eduroam.

Connect to Eduroam Institutions for Rice faculty, staff, or students (laptop)
- Establish your Eduroam connection
- Search for Eduroam wireless networks on your laptop.
- Connect to the Eduroam SSID.
- Login using your Rice credentials: NetID@rice.edu and NetID password.

Connect to Eduroam Institutions for Rice faculty, staff, or students (Android)
Make sure that Wi-fi is enabled in order to see Eduroam. Click Eduroam and make sure the settings are:
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Type your NetID@rice.edu credentials in the Identity field; type your NetID password in the Password field.
- CA certificate: Use system certificates
- Online certificate status: Don’t validate
- Domain: rice.edu
- Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
Connect to Eduroam on the Rice campus for Visitors from other Eduroam Institutions
- Establish your Eduroam connection
- Search for wireless networks on your laptop or mobile device.
- Connect to the Eduroam SSID.
- Enter your institution's login credentials to login.
- If you are unsure about your login credentials or need assistance, you will need to contact your home institution.
