What is my password on the CRC's clusters?
An active NetID and password are required in order to log in to any research computing system. Additionally, if you have never applied for an account on one of these systems you must do so in advance. Once approved by your sponsor and created by the system administrators, you will be able to log in to these systems.
If you have a Visitor NetID that has been allowed to expire you will be unable to log in. Please ensure that your Visitor NetID is active (by having your sponsor visit http://visitor.rice.edu/ ) before attempting to log in.
Resetting NetID Passwords
If you need to set a new password for your NetID, please follow the published instructions.
If you know your NetID password but are still unable to log in, please inform the Help Desk.
