Step 4: Double click ServicesStep 5: Scroll to the bottom Wired AutoConfig Step 6: On the Wired AutoConfig Properties window, Go to Startup Type and select Automatic Go to Service Status, click Start, click Apply, Click OK, and close the Services window. Step 7: Double Click on the Ethernet adapter which is connected to the wired RiceNet3 Network, (still called Rice Owls). Select Properties.Step 8: Local Area Connection PropertiesAuthentication tabSelect ‘Enable IEEE 8021x authentication'. Select ‘Remember my credentials for this connection each time I’m logged on’. Select ‘Fallback to unauthorized network access’. Choose a network authentication method:Select Microsoft Protected EAP (PEAP) from the drop-down menu. Click Settings.Step 9: Protected EAP PropertiesSelect Verify the server certificateTrusted Root Certification Authorities > select ‘AddTrust External CA Root’. Select Authentication Method > Secured Password (EAP-MSCHAPv2 Select Enable Fast Reconnect Step 10: Advanced settings > select Specify authentication mode. From the drop-down menu, select user authentication. CheckType your NetID and NetID password. Click OK until you exit the settings menus.
