Beginning November 12, 2018, alumni and friends have access to a new and improved Rice Portal, through which you can access a variety of online resources to connect with each other and engage with the university.
- To sign up for your Rice Portal account, visit riceconnect.rice.edu.
- Allow 2-3 business days for your account to be activated.
- If you had an account with the alumni portal prior to November 12, 2018, you will need to sign up for a new login and password for the Rice Portal.

Rice Alumni Email Signup
To create a Rice Alumni email address, you must first create a Rice Portal Account. If you have already created a Rice Portal account, skip to step 2.
*Note: If you do not yet have a Rice Portal account, you can register by clicking “New user registration” beneath the “Login” button. You will be given provisional access to the Rice Portal upon signing up for an account, although you will not gain full access (including to resources like the alumni email request form) until we process your request and can verify your relationship to the university. When your request has been verified, you will receive a second email confirmation with the subject line, “Welcome to the Rice Portal!” Allow 2-3 business days for your Portal request to be processed.
Step 2: Once you are logged in, click the "Alumni Email Signup" link under “Links and Resources” in the menu on the left side.
Step 3: Complete the Alumni Email Request and and click “Submit” button.
Allow 2-3 business days for your email request to be processed.
Step 4: Once processed, you will receive a confirmation email from the Google Cloud Team with your username (email address) and a link by which to set your password.
